Invison has let me down. Is there an equal or better forum to buy? How about something close?

no, got my own server and want full control so would rather shell out the bigger bucks for the full tomali.

I presume you have looked at vbulletin?

I'd say try vbulletin as mentioned above, or phpBB which is another free forum.

My vote would go for vbulletin as well for a paid board.
If you dont like Invision then I would try the phpbb.com board (free)
